Amir Khan And Brother Harron Fight Off A Gang! Is This Assault With a Deadly Weapon?

As most of you have heard, Amir Khan and his brother Haroon had recently got into a fight. No, it wasn’t a fighter between each other, and neither was it a boxing match; they fought off an armed gang that was trying to rob them.

“One (of the men) slapped Amir and clipped him on the lip but Amir pulled back and knocked him out cold. Then five of them went for Amir and Haroon but they stood their ground and these guys got dropped one by one,” recalled a witness to this event.

How cool is that? I understand that people think that weapons and numbers can scare others, but I guess this would not work on those who fight for a living. Both brothers showed their heart and spirit, and certainly made some explosive headlines. They are following the footsteps of Mike Tyson, who was also a victim of an attempted robbery at night in Las Vegas a little while back. Of course the burglar was seen by Mike, and, well, you can guess the rest of the story.

All that aside, what will come of all this? The Khan family is now a very rich one, and people will be trying to take advantage of that in any way they can. Imagine if this had happened to Floyd Mayweather Jr.? I think that we can all agree that the people trying to rob him would end up suing him for physical damages.

Remember, when a boxer or any other fighter used their fists to hit someone, which is considered assault with a deadly weapon according to most judges and in some cases, the law.

Will we hear more from the armed gang that had tried to rob Amir and his brother? Chances are that we will. They might sue, and despite the fact that there was a witness to this event, they are the ones that got hurt, and could always deny that they were attempting to do any harm to the champion and his brother.

I am very curious to hear what Amir has to say about this, and what comments he will make in his defense.
