WBA junior welterweight (140 pounds)  Amir Khan of England will meet Northern Ireland’s unbeaten southpaw Paul McCloskey  in an HBO televised clash from the MEN Arena on April 16 in England.

In this video we talk to 24-year-old Khan (24-1, 17 KOs) about 31-year-old McCloskey (22-0, 12 knockouts)  as well as his Dec. 11 unanimous decision victory over hard-punching, WBA interim champion Marcos Maidana (29-2, 27 KOs) of Argentina. A fight which the Boxing Writers Association chose as Fight of the Year.

  1. the thing about the fight with maidana is that ppl were sayin what if maidana was in better condition would have taking him out cause he was on wobbly legs from R10 and on.. ppl dont really give u the credit u deserve when u scrap a fight like that they want you to beat ppl like manny, sergio martinez fashion to get that respect… but khan has definitely improved a lot! good job amir can’t wait to see you with bradley!
