Haye Blames Foot Injury For Underwhelming Performance Against Klitschko

Thousands of boxing fans watched Wladimir Klitschko and David Haye go all 12 rounds. At the end, all three judges unanimously scored the fight in Klitschko’s favor. Klitschko unified the heavyweight division. After so much animosity and trash talking, Klitschko and Haye shook hands at the end.  Klitschko thanked all of his fans while speaking in German, English and Russian. He said he’ll continue to defend his titles. Klitschko gave Haye credit for trying.

Haye Foot Injury Excuse

Not my left foot…my right one. & The Dog ate my homework. Honest.

Meantime, Haye said a previous injury to his right foot prevented him from being at his best. In fact, during the fight, he slipped numerous times. While being interviewed by the media, you could see Haye’s foot wrapped up. Haye said he wouldn’t mind having a rematch or fighting Vitali. When asked about his 11th Round knockdown, Haye said it was a push , but wasn’t surprised the referee called it a knockdwon because the fight was in Germany.

Both fighters are being paid $15 to $20 million.[ad#Google Adsense(Horizontal 468)][ad#Google Adsense(Horizontal 468)]
