Evander Holyfield Claims Klitschko’s Victory Over Povetkin Wouldn’t Be Special

Boxing legend Evander Holyfield, doesn’t believe that a victory over Povetkin is anything special for Klitschko.

“Klitschko is a tall boxer with a long reach, while Povetkin is not too big. I am very curious about the outcome of the fight. But I can tell you right now, that if Povetkin beats Klitschko, it would be a tremendous achievement or him. But for Klitschko, a victory over Povetkin would be routine,” stated Holyfield.

As expected, it is very hard to earn respect from the boxing fans as well as the your colleagues, if you are exceedingly better than all of your competition. Slowly but surely, Wladimir Klitschko’s dominance is landing him in the same boat as Mayweather Jr.

Floyd is at a point in his career, where there simply isn’t a fighter out there that would elevate Floyd’s career and status in the eyes of the boxing public. Klitschko’s career is currently starting to suffer the same symptoms, and if he does indeed dominate and even knock Povetkin out, the amount of credit that he will get for this victory would be minimal.
