Former NBA Player Cedric Ceballos Buys ABA League, Arizona Scorpions

Thursday, July 21, 2011 in Los Angeles, California–Former NBA All Star, Cedric Ceballos is making a move in the world of basketball with the American Basketball League (ABA) by purchasing the Arizona Scorpions. “It was not a hard decision for me because I love the game of basketball and sports and I am a business man setting some goals to do great things,”

says Ceballos who is a veteran player of several teams in the NBA (Phoenix, Suns, Los Angeles, Lakers, Dallas, Mavericks, and Miami Heat). Ceballos with co-owner and coach, Ron Tilly are excited to hold the tryouts for this new team on August 6 – 7 at the Moon Valley High School (3625 Cactus Road, Phoenix, AZ 85029). Their motto of “the World of basketball is about to change…Got Game? Bring it!” will be looking for great talent in the Phoenix, AZ to take the game of basketball to another level. “I like building from the ground up. With the collaborative efforts of Ron Tilly and myself, I assure you that the Scorpions will be a force to be reckoned with,” says Ceballos.

Ceballos, native of Los Angeles, California is active in the world of sports. Happy to take on another business venture, Ceballos is widely known for his blind-folded dunk in the 1992 NBA All Star Slam Dunk contest. He was also named the “Comeback Player of the Year” in 1996. Currently, Cedric is the smooth voice of the Phoenix Suns as an in arena host. He also worked with ESPN during the 2010-11 NBA season as a post-game, guest analyst during the playoffs and finals. During the off season he is busy training athletes beginning at the Jr. High level to the pro’s, DJ’ing and participating in many charitable causes around the world.
