Meet Abner Mares Sunday As He Is Honored By Hawaiian Gardens

World Boxing Champion Abner Mares is returning home to the City of Hawaiian Gardens as
a two-time world boxing champion and will be the guest of honor at a reception
recognizing his recently earned WBC Super Bantamweight title victory last
Saturday night in El Paso, TX.   The reception being hosted by the City of
Hawaiian Gardens and the Hawaiian Gardens Youth Boxing Program will be open to
the public and food at the event will be donated by local businesses.  Abner
Mares, 26 years of age and with a record of 24-0-1, with 13 knockouts, is a huge
inspiration to the community and the City’s first world boxing
champion.
