LOS ANGELES (April 27)…Renowned Mexican actor and singer Jaime Camil is set to sing the Himno Nacional Mexicano at “Ring Kings: Mayweather vs. Cotto” on May 5 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas which will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View®. Camil will have the honor of singing the anthem at the mega-event which coincides with the Cinco de Mayo holiday, traditionally one of the biggest boxing weekends of the year.

Camil is a prominent screen and stage actor, recording artist and television personality who began his career as a radio DJ. Camil has four platinum-selling albums and his latest album, “Por Ella Soy Eva” is currently in the top 10 albums of the iTunes Mexico music store. He starred in the bound-for-Broadway original musical “The Mambo Kings” at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco, Calif as well as in the most successful Mexican films of all time such as “7DAYS,” “Zapata,” “Recien Cazado,” “Saving Private Perez,” “Heaven In Your Eyes” and “Regresa” for which he won the “Best Film Actor” award at the PREMIOS JUVENTUD ceremony, beating out Javier Bardem, Gael Garcia Bernal and Antonio Banderas. “Regresa” also won “Best Entertaining Film” at the Monaco Film Festival.
