It looks as thought Nonito Donaire is all done with his shoulder surgery, as can be seen on the pictures that he had recently poster on his Twitter account.
Now that Nonito Donaire has successfully undergone his shoulder repair, he seems to be in good spirits and promises a solid comeback.
“I’m good. The surgery went well. We needed to get that done. I want to be one hundred percent going into the ring next time around. I’ll give it eight weeks of rehab right now and then begin workouts,” stated Nonito in a recent interview.
With a baby on the way and a lot of healing to do, I assume that we will not be hearing of anything specific until sometime late in the summer. The baby is coming in July, and the rehabilitation period is at least 2-3 months, and in that period of time I assume there will be no negotiating for a definite date with anyone.
The plan for him, according to Bob Arum, is to face JuanMa closer to the end of 2013, and it seems that Donaire is not against this idea: “If they make that happen that would be good,” responded Nontio when asked about the possibility of facing JuanMa.
I definitely support that fight rather than a Rigo rematch. It should prove to be a more explosive fight with action from bell to bell.
