Report: Morales Turns Down $1.5 Million To Fight Khan

Amir Khan is currently in Los Angeles working hard for his next fight on July 23 in Las Vegas. It’s not clear who his opponent will be. In fact, there’s word that Erik Morales turned down an offer to fight Khan for $1.5 million.  Khan himself even retweeted this message:

RT @danrafaelespn: Morales supposedly rejected $1.5 million for the fight with @amirkingkhan. Respect to Morales. He’s smart. Knew it was a bad fight for him.

Meanwhile, there were talks about Timothy Bradley, but that didn’t happen, and now there’s word maybe Zab Judah will get in the ring. However, Judah and Khan have been going at it on Twitter, an all out Twitter war. The issue remains how much each fighter will get paid.  Judah says he wont fight unless it’s close to  50/50.

In the EsNewsReporting video below, we caught up with trainer Robert Garcia who’s puzzled by Morales’ decision to turn down the fight.
