Wladimir Klitschko Doesnt Think That David Haye Deserves A Fight With Vitali

In a recent statement made by Wladimir Klitschko, the younger brother doesn’t understand why David Haye assumes that he deserves a fight against his older brother Vitali. Wladimir agrees that despite the fact that the fight would make financial sense, Haye haven’t earned the right to demand it.

“Of course it is Vitali’s decision, but I would prefer that boxers like Haye would get less attention. What did he do? Box with me? So what. That doesn’t mean anything. Let him wait in line. We don’t even know if he is still interested in boxing. First he declares the end to his career, and then he returns back to it. What does he want? Everyone witnessed my fight with Haye. He ran like a coward for the entire 12 rounds. Then showed everyone his toe. Haye talks too much, and has gotten to a point where even he himself forgot what he lied about. Money is not the most important thing here. First Haye needs to learn good manners and how to fight like a real man. Having said all that, this fight would be very profitable,” stated Wladimir in a GorodokBoxing piece.

While I wouldn’t go as far as to say that Haye needs to learn how to fight, since he was a fairly solid champion at some point in time and in his cruiserweight division, I do agree that he is asking for something that he doesn’t deserve. Beating Chisora is in no way a paved road to Vitali.

Haye talks himself into fight, but at the same time, not always being the most authentic option for the opponent. Think about it: aside from the monetary standpoint, why is Haye a good choice for Vitali? How many people would actually realistically expect Haye to win? Not just in conversation, but how many of you would bet a large sum of money on Haye vs. on Vitali?

Wladimir is right; losing to one brother doesn’t entitle David to a fight with the other. While many people keep claiming that Vitali is in for a loss sometime soon due to his age, I have been hearing such hypotheses for a very long time now, and they lost all their credibility.

On the other hand, I am not too sure who Vitali should fight next. If anything, of all people, maybe Arreola should get another shot?
